The Author

There’s only a very little that you need to know about me – if anything at all. I’m a damned soul redeemed by God. Now I love Him (and kind of like writing) and I want everything I write to make Him smile because He first loved me.

As an author, I want to be as a vessel yielded to God for His use. He is glorious; may my words testify to that. I hope that my writing will be the compelling and truth-promoting YA suspense fiction that you’re looking for.

Just for fun…

In my spare time, I like to: Write, cook, read, sing (by myself), listen to sermons, meet with friends, learn…

A few of my favorite books are: Covenant Child, by Terri Blackstock, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and Pilgrim’s Progress, by John Bunyan.

My most productive hours of the day are: In the morning; the earlier the better. If we’re really getting specific, I would say 6:00 am – 8:00 am.

My earliest writing memory is: I must have been six when I “wrote” and illustrated a book about a goat. I ‘designed’ a title font which consisted of tiny circles bunched together to form letters because when my mom suggested using “bubble writing” for the title, that’s what I understood.

The most important thing that ever happened to me: Jesus saved me.

Will you tell me a bit about you? How do you spend your free hours (or minutes)? When are you the most productive and what books are your all-time favorites?

I’ve enabled comments so you can introduce yourself, too. I love connecting with people.

  1. Hey Jordy! I’m a follower of Jesus. I love to write, read, and sing. I’m learning guitar. I’m also a blogger. I like the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis as well. I also love the books This Present Darkness and it’s sequel Piercing the Darkness by Frank Peretti.
I found your blog through Having A Heart Like His and I’m looking forward to reading more 🙂

    1. Welcome here, Sarah! I’ve heard good things about This Present Darkness. I guess you would affirm that I should read it if I get the chance?

Thank you for having a look at my little blog. I’ve just had a look at yours, too. I like the single-minded focus on the One Name that is above every name. I think there’s a time and place for blogs that are focused on Jesus *and* some interest, but I definitely appreciate a blog like yours. 🙂 Have you found it difficult at times?

      1. This Present Darkness is an amazing book that puts a realism on spiritual warefare. It does mention a lot of sins but nothing detailed and definitely doesn’t glorify sin. It really helped me grow in my faith because it showed me spiritual warefare as something real.
        So I would recommend it.

I chose to blog about Jesus. There are times I want to blog about something else like writing or reading but I think for now I’m going to stick with Jesus.
I do enjoy reading other blogs with Jesus along with other things, I like them. For myself I just chose to write about Jesus and what He’s been teaching me.

      2. I just marked it as “Want to Read” on Goodreads. Whether a book glorifies a sin or not makes a big difference!

Heheh, and I’m one of those bloggers that blogs about Jesus along with other things, so I don’t mean to condemn those blogs! But I look forward to reading more from you! You generlly post every Tuesday?
