(Discuss) Dreams from your Past?

This week, let’s talk about dreams and projects from as far back as you can remember.

Did you have a childhood dream that lasted years? How do they differ from your dreams now? Or perhaps they don’t…

Did you fulfill any? Are you still working towards them today?

Here’s a chance to get to know me and your fellow readers. Here’s a chance for us to get to know you.

A child’s way of looking at things is beautiful.

  1. When I was six years old, I wanted to be (guess…) an astronaut! I looooved everything about “outer space” and was eager to read what little I could understand about it. I don’t believe that dream lasted long.

Then, at ten and eleven years old, I wanted to praise God and make Him known through an advanced budgie/parakeet sanctuary. It would allow visitors to walk abound inside a large aviary and to watch the chicks in their nest boxes through one-sided glass. I wanted it to teach people about the genetics responsible for the various colours of budgies, as well as their behaviour in the wild and their anatomy. At first consideration, you might wonder how this dream could possibly praise God before the general public. But I wanted all the information to be presented from a creation perspective, with God being the master Designer and Creator. Such was how my dream went.

A final childhood dream carried through to present: to be a published author of novels. To this day, I’m still working towards that end. May God be honoured through my intentions and actions alike. If more people know who God is or love Him more after reading something I wrote: dream fulfilled.
