Greetings for the New Year!
It’s no secret that the 1st of January brings a great variety of strong feelings: determination, excitement, hope… pressure, intimidation, uncertainty. Perhaps, as you look into your New Year, you’re feeling all these things at once.

Will it be your last year of high school? Are you going to learn to drive? Maybe you’re about to start university or move out of home. As for me, I’m looking to publish my first book in 2016. Trust me, just the thought of it is enough to invoke all the emotions listed above.
Whether you’re feeling on top of the world or like you’re carrying the world on your own two shoulders, now is the perfect time to open your Bible and see what it has to say:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
– Jeremiah 29:11
If you feel so overwhelmed by your plans or other peoples’ expectations, take a deep breath and stop worrying. Remember this promise of God and rest assured that He knows the plans He has for you in 2016… and beyond.
Happy New Year!
PS – I’ve let you in on a bit of what my 2016 may look like. Now what are your hopes and fears concerning the upcoming twelve months?
My plans for 2016? Other than finish 11th grade (which is enough)…not much!
